Common questions

Quick answers about how Closety works.

Where does the weather come from?

Closety pulls a live forecast for your location automatically. You can't edit it by hand — just tap the refresh button on the weather card for the latest reading.

How do outfit recommendations work?

Closety looks at your weather, your plans for the day and the pieces in your wardrobe, then suggests an outfit. Add pieces with the Add piece button so suggestions match what you actually own.

How do I talk to the stylist?

Tap Talk to your stylist at the top of the home page. The stylist knows your weather, plans, wardrobe and — if you turned it on — your zodiac sign, and can also give buying advice with links to trusted stores.

How do I sync my calendar?

Open the calendar card on the home page. Google Calendar connects with a sign-in; Apple and Outlook calendars connect by pasting a share link. Syncing is read-only — Closety never changes your calendar.

How do I share my wardrobe?

Set your account to Public on the Account page, then use the Share button next to Add piece to get a link. Friends can view your wardrobe and copy pieces into theirs. Switch back to Private and old links stop working.

Is the zodiac feature required?

No — it's off by default. Turn it on from the zodiac card on the home page or the switch in Settings, pick a system, and your sign's colors and themes gently influence suggestions.

Where are my theme and color choices saved?

Appearance choices (mode, colors, background) and your temperature unit are saved on the device you're using, not in your account — so each phone or computer can look different.

I keep getting signed out. Why?

Staying signed in works best in a normal browser tab. If you're inside an embedded preview window, open Closety in its own tab or add it to your home screen (see below).

On your device

Closety works in any modern browser — no download needed.

iPhone & iPad

Open Closety in Safari, tap the Share button, then Add to Home Screen. It opens full-screen like an app and keeps you signed in. Allow location access so the weather card can find your forecast.

Android

Open Closety in Chrome, tap the three-dot menu, then Add to Home screen. Allow location access for automatic weather.

Web

Any up-to-date browser works. Bookmark the page and stay signed in — your wardrobe, plans and chats are tied to your account, while colors and themes stay on each device.
